412 Main St, Van Buren, AR 72956
Our boutique, Main Street Threads, started as a business inside another business. We have absolutely fallen in love with the downtown Van Buren community and wanted to extend the same Main Street Van Buren welcome to as many businesses as we can. In our boutique, we have always tried to support local makers and artisans by carrying locally made products as much as possible. The conversation began on how we could do more, and Main Street Mercantile became our newest venture.
We invite you to join the movement, of supporting as many locally-owned businesses you can! They are the backbone of our economy. Help us shine a light on local businesses!

History of Salami in San Francisco
Did you know San Francisco is the salami capital of the United States? The cool, humid climate is naturally favorable for dry-curing meat.
San Francisco’s temperate climate is why when many Italians immigrated to the Bay Area at the end of the 1800’s, bringing with them their family’s salami-making tradition, they found the area perfect for creating their beloved salumi. However, these same salami makers would have to fight to protect their traditional curing methods and for the right to call their salami “Italian Salami”.
Wisconsin is rightly famous for the quality and variety of cheese produced by farmers in this Great Lakes state. The tradition of cheese making in Wisconsin began in the early 1800s as immigrant farmers from Europe began to settle on this fertile land and to raise dairy cows.
Our Farmers’ Market Wisconsin Cheese blocks are rich, creamy, and perfect for any charcuterie board. Crafted in Wisconsin and featuring a variety of delicious flavors, this cheese is a treasure for your pantry.
Offering the same great flavor in a smaller portion - our Smoked Wild Sockeye Salmon Portion is a smaller 2oz cut of salmon, sealed in our innovative gold pouch. This smaller portion is great for an introduction to salmon and on-the-go snacking. Each 2oz Portion is presented in a small pillow pack gift box.
The Choice is YOURS.
For ages, alcohol has played a non-negotiable role in lives around the world. More than a choice, for many it’s a way of life. A powerful potion deemed suitable for both creating new memories, and erasing the ones you’d like to forget.
For a high percentage of people on this planet, it’s not a matter of if you’ll have a relationship with alcohol. It’s merely when.
But all that’s starting to change…
Younger generations are drinking less than any adults to come before. For some, it’s a choice for health. For others, control. But regardless of reason, the trend is clear – for the first time in centuries, people are choosing to question their relationship with alcohol.
For those making this choice, it doesn’t come easy. Puzzling looks. Invasive questions. Skipped parties and missed engagements. Choosing not to drink – for whatever reason - in a world soaked in alcohol leaves most feeling like an outsider.
